The Siege of Jadotville

The Siege of Jadotville depicts the incredible true story of the of the siege of 150 UN Irish troops led by Commandant Pat Quinlan (Jamie Dornan) in the Congo in 1961. Quinlan and his men held out against a force of 3,000 local troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies.

The war drama, which is based on ‘The Siege at Jadotville: The Irish Army’s Forgotten Battle‘ by Declan Power, was directed by Richie Smyth and features a stellar line-up of acting talent including Jamie Dornan, Mark Strong, Jason O’Mara, Guillaume Canet and Sam Keeley.
