Donal O’Keeffe

Donal O’Keeffe is an Irish multi-disciplinary director and designer working across a broad range of media, from motion design to illustration and live action. Over the past decade he has collaborated with some of the world’s top creative studios, agencies and individuals.

Donal started his design life at the Limerick School of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design before then moving on to to finish a Master’s degree in Film Theory and Production at UCD.

Once graduated he relocated to London in 2009 and over the course of the next 12 years he moved from being a broadcast designer at ITV/ITN, to commercials design at Gramercy Park Studios and finally onto becoming an art director and director at MPC Advertising in 2016.

During that time he has worked with clients such as Amazon, Virgin Media, Microsoft, Nike, Adidas, Channel 4, ASOS, DAZN and EA Sports.

Donal works continuously on personal projects to help focus his creative ideals and to fulfil his obsessive need to create. His short film ‘Dead Ahead’ was chosen as a Vimeo staff pick in 2017 and was selected for numerous animation festivals worldwide.

His creative aim has always been to create clean and strong visuals that tell a story, to be original and bold and finally to work with people that share his enthusiasm and ambition.
