Fáilte Ireland, Dunbrody Famine Ship

Working closely with Company of Huskies we created a range of content for the Dunbrody Famine Ship experience in New Ross, Co. Wexford. This bank of video, motion-graphics and stills content was designed specifically for Fáilte Ireland as part of the launch of Ireland’s Ancient East, a major tourism initiative promoting key sites along the east coast of Ireland.

Working across such broad range of media our main concern was to show the complex story of the Dunbrody with a consistent tone, allowing us to tell the story most effectively. We collaborated with the stills photographer Matthew Thompson in creating a series of living portraits of the sailors, deck-hands and passengers that would have taken the perilous journey across Atlantic, along with telling the tale of the crossing through a highly textural motion graphics piece.
