Shayne started working at Soho post-house West One Television in 1989 while simultaneously studying for and achieving professional qualifications at Ravensbourne Technical College.
Editing at West One Television, he worked on high profile entertainment shows such as Viva Caberet, The Jack Dee Show and Chris Evans' TFI Friday! During his eight year stint in London Shayne developed a relationship with US Network NBC and used leave from work to edit coverage of the tennis championships at Wimbledon for the Late Night Show.
In 1997 Shayne returned to Ireland, working for Screen Scene on their newly acquired Editbox, Online Avid and linear Sony based tape suite. His credits there included Ballykissangel, A Love Divided and numerous high profile commercial campaigns.
Shayne joined Windmill Lane in January 2001, working on both long-form and commercial projects, editing on Avid's Media Composer and compositing on Quantel's Henry. Long-form highlights include work on concert videos and promos for U2, drama series Love/Hate and Primeval and features Lockout and Perfect Sense.
In 2002 Shayne was asked to head-up Windmill Lane's Editorial Department, nurturing new talent and promoting our high profile team of award winning editors. He has continued his career as a client-facing operator transitioning from Quantel to Autodesk; firstly as a Smoke operator and most recently as a Flame Artist. He has continued to use his holiday time to edit for NBC at numerous Olympic Games, travelling to Sydney, Salt Lake City, Athens, Beijing, London, Sochi and Rio.
In 2004 Shayne was the proud recipient of an Emmy for his editing at the Olympic Games in Greece. For a selected list of credits check his IMDB page;
