Eircom - Doodle

‘Doodle’ is one of three new television commercials for Eircom which have been undergoing extensive post in Windmill Lane of late. The editor on this particular piece was David Blake with Richard Merrigan from our 2D department heading up the design of the ornate graphics art work. Richard spent some time doodling on his tablet for the sake of Doodle in order to bring this charming sequence to life and the completed 3D animations were then integrated with the live action footage. John Kennedy who was the creative Lead on the Eircom pulled all the elements together in Flame.

Brian O’Malley’s direction throughout exercised the perfect amount of restraint and balance in combining live action with animation and effects, while still fully utilising the best of both.
