Jameson Dublin International Film Festival

This spot was created to introduce films at the Dublin International Film Festival 2009 and paid homage to the film “Cloverfield”.
Using concept art from Director John Hayes, the 3D team at Windmill modeled, rigged and textured a creature to emerge from Dublin’s river Liffey. A custom particle solution was created to allow water to flow and drip from the creature as it rose up breaking the Dublin skyline.
Additional Flame work composited the many 3D layers as well as waves and wakes on the Liffey’s surface that set the monster seamlessly into the scene.
