With Director Gary Shore being the hot topic in Ireland’s Film Industry news of late, we thought it only right to return the trailer and interview to the homepage in case any of you missed it. Gary is experiencing great success of late as he has recently been signed to LA production company Anonymous Content for commercials and management, and CAA for Feature representation. Anonymous Content manages some of Hollywood’s most renowned directors such as David Fincher, Ang Lee and Guy Ritchie to name but a few. With The Cup of Tears generating incredible attention across the Atlantic, probably the most significant coup has been James Cameron’s strong interest in this innovative director.

The latest offering from director Gary Shore which is causing all the buzz is the stunning trailer for his forthcoming feature; The Cup of Tears. Produced by Rok Bukovec for One Punch Films and shot in Slovenia on Sony’s D20 HD camera. The Cup of Tears was led from our Flame and 3D departments under the guidance of John Kennedy. This mixed media project combined Weiss Cam, slow motion footage, HD and high resolution Matte Painting to achieve the eventual look. Spending over six months in Flame & 3D it became a labour of love for all the team in Windmill Lane who are all very excited with the final film.

The Cup of Tears is a genre splicing fantasy, combining Japanese mythology and modern technology. When a magical cup is stolen, Taro, a ronin samurai is brought in to retrieve the cup and hunt those responsible. Unforgiven meets Hellboy meets Afro Samurai.
