Directed and produced by David Blake Knox of Blueprint Pictures, this imaginative Arts Lives documentary film is a portrait of Michael Colgan, the Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre in Dublin for the last 25 years.
‘Waiting for Colgan’ is an intimate portrait of a man who remains driven by his work. His commitment seems as intense and focused as it did 25 years ago. He is also a man who does not, perhaps, take himself quite as seriously as he takes the theatre. Among those taking part in the documentary are Harold Pinter, Sir Michael Gambon, Atom Egoyan, Alan Maloney and Ralph Fiennes. The film was edited by Windmill’s Vinny Beirne.
