Focus Ireland “Going Home”

We’ve just had the pleasure of looking after post-production on the Focus Ireland campaign for Christmas, ‘Going Home’, for Javelin.
Kieron J Walsh directed for Blinder and Dara McClatchie was the producer.
Focus Ireland helps thousands of people each year who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to find a safe, secure and permanent home.
The campaign shows a young girl looking on at various scenes on Christmas Eve, as shops and restaurants close, shoppers finish their search for last minute presents and everyone gets ready to go home for Christmas. It becomes clear that this girl and her family do not have a home to go to. We then hear our voiceover (Aidan Gillen), ask for our help to end homelessness.
Lee Hickey edited three commercials, a 30sec, 40sec and 50sec, Matt Branton graded the pictures in Baselight and Mark Bailey completed the online and composite in Flame.
