Flatbed

This is just a sneak preview of forthcoming Speers Film’s short Flatbed directed by Tom Merilion and edited in Windmill by Lee Hickey. Screening at Galway Film Fleadh 2010 on July 10th as part of the New Irish shorts collection, this film is concisely described in the programme as;
The end of a relationship and a 30-tonne articulated lorry hurtling down a deserted motorway at night; Flatbed is not a conventional love story.
Flatbed spent extensive time in Flame with Ian Jacobs where he blended the elements in each scene seamlessly to the live action sequences. Richard Merrigan acted as the Graphics supervisor, working with Frank Valouch to create the visual effects and CGI. This particular short spent the alot of its production in Windmill Lane’s VFX department with Mark Henry then mixing the film in Number Four Studios.
